What's Happening at Saint Giles
Church Family Dinner
Please join us for our Church Family Dinner at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 17th. We will try something new with a Taco & Fajita buffet from Salsa Fresh. The buffet will include charbroiled chicken and steak, flour tortillas, grilled peppers, onions and roasted chilies, beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and a variety of FRESH salsas.
For planning purposes, we ask that you indicate your intention to attend by completing a pew form or, if that is not possible, contacting the church office no later than Monday, October 14th. The cost is $8/adult and $4/child (ages 5-10).
Fellowship dinners are excellent opportunities to get to know new church friends, invite friends, or become re-acquainted with long-time ones. We hope to see you there!
If you have questions, please contact Jennifer Gospodarek at (919) 523-1902.
Habitat for Humanity
You can still help build six new homes in Habitat for Humanity's Faith Build!
Saint Giles is helping Habitat for Humanity of Wake County go bigger this year by building a 6-unit townhome. An ambitious project that includes our donation of funds, builders, and food, we will partner with Habitat and other congregations to complete a home for six families in just 16 weeks! We're asked to provide six workers on our building days and to provide lunch for teams of 20 builders on one of those days. Saint Giles is building on 10/12, 11/23, and 12/14. Please contact Tom Augspurger (email@example.com, 919-744-8510) to volunteer for building or feeding the builders (or just to learn more) -- you'll be part of an impactful partnership as Habitat Wake built 83 homes and completed 66 home repair projects last year alone!
The St. Giles Book Group will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 11:30 in the Adult Center parlor to discuss Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton. Chris Gospodarek will lead our discussion.
Bring your lunch if you wish. All are welcome!
